How to Report a Fake Maratha Book Agent or Scam Number
If someone pretended to be Maratha Book support — whether or not you lost money — reporting them protects you and other players. Here is the right order to do things.
Need help right now? Our support team replies 24x7 on WhatsApp.Step 1: Stop all contact
Don’t reply, argue or send more money — even if they promise a refund. Scammers often try a second “recovery” scam.
Step 2: Keep the evidence
- Screenshots of the full chat, including their number and profile.
- Payment receipts, UTR numbers and the account or UPI ID you paid.
- Any links, APK files or websites they sent (don’t open them again).
Step 3: Protect your money
If you paid or shared banking details, call your bank or UPI app’s helpline immediately. Ask them to block the transaction or your card if needed.
Step 4: Report the fraud
| Where | How |
|---|---|
| National cyber-crime portal | File a complaint at cybercrime.gov.in |
| Cyber fraud helpline | Call 1930 as soon as possible after the fraud |
| Open the chat, tap the contact name → Report & Block | |
| Official help desk | Send the evidence so other players can be warned |
Step 5: Secure your ID
If you shared your Maratha Book username or password with the imitator, ask the official desk to reset your password straight away.
You’re not to blame. These scams are designed to be convincing. Reporting quickly is the best thing you can do.
